What do you do?

We pick out any music currently on eBay matching the artists in your last.fm profile. That is the artists you have recently scrobbled, and the artists recommended by last.fm.

Bookmark your page, then come back any time you feel an urge to buy a bargain CD, or to pick up older works from artists you have recently discovered.

Whats wrong with just using eBay's normal search?

Thats great if you know what you want, but eBay's indexes are not good for browsing. Unless you have a very broad taste, you will probably find that eBay seems to be full of music you dont want to buy. Exitahead.co.uk will pick out items relevant to you.

I dont want to give you my eBay password

We dont want it! Our pages take you to eBay, and you log in to eBay normally.

Are your searches complete?

Not always. We have to limit how often we refresh the information from eBay, so our information is sometimes missing auctions added recently to eBay. If last.fm shows a very large number of recommendations then we might not be able to search for them all. If eBay has many listings for one artists, then we only list the next few.

This all helps to keep our pages short enough to browse. If you absolutely must never miss that rare Madonna single then we suggest you use the eBay search directly.

Why dont you show prices?

They would be out of date as soon as we showed them. Just go to the eBay page if you want to check out an item in more detail.

Can I save my search preferences?

Yes! Just get the search settings the way you want them, then bookmark the page. The atom RSS feed linked from that page will use the same settings too.

My search results dont contain what I expected. Whats up?

We find any eBay items which have the artist name in the auction title or description. Unfortunately this does mean you will see auctions of Cliff Richard's From a Distance if you have DJ Distance in your profile.

If your search results have lots of non-music items (Maybe some blankets, because you have the death metal band Slumber in your profile) then possibly eBay has changed some details of their site and we are no longer picking up the right music categories. Please let us know.

What is "Hide mainstream artists"?

Tick this box and any artists with more than 200 items listed on eBay will be automatically removed from your search results.

This is handy if you know you are looking for something a little bit different.
